Meet Our Umpires!
It just might be that the hardest-working and most dedicated team to take the
field at Timmons and Butler Springs Parks is our incredible staff of umpires. These
guys are at every game - often seven days a week with all the rainouts - and rotate turns on the
field from our Coach-Pitch games through the Majors' late-evening nightcaps.
Often their hard work, judgment and leadership goes unnoticed until there is a
close, controversial play, where their split-second decisions can sometimes be
a bit unpopular - especially with at least half the players, coaches and fans!
Still, they diligently carry out their crucial jobs of keeping our kids safe,
teaching the kids the rules and often arcane nuances of the great sport of baseball,
and reinforcing the League's principles of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play.
 We don't say it enough, but "Thanks, Guys" for a job done well, with class, professionalism, and enough humor to keep us
all in control!!!
Our Umpire team consists of crew chief Benny Bishop, Rex Darnell, Ken Hart, Jonathan Bishop (who is Benny's son!), Mark Anthony, Brent Reese and Quinton Kinman. (See they really do have names other than "Hey,Blue!" )
